1. WHO CAN ATTEND LAMOKA BAPTIST CAMP?
Lamoka Baptist Camp is co-educational and open to all boys and girls ages 7-18, without regard to race, color, gender, or national origin.
2. HOW MUCH DOES CAMP COST?
The cost of one week of youth camp is $300. If you return for a second week, it only costs $250. Other discounts and scholarships may be available, please contact us for more information and options.
3. WHAT IF CANNOT AFFORD TO SEND MY CHILD?
There are discounts and scholarships available, please give us a call for more information.
4. WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION OR MY CAMPER IS SENT HOME?
The Camp Director reserves the right to send any camper home for disciplinary reasons at his sole discretion. If you cancel your registration before your child arrives at Lamoka you will receive all your money back except your registration fee ($50). If your child is sent home or has to leave early no money can be refunded.
5. WILL MY CAMPER BE SAFE AT LAMOKA?
We do many things to keep our campers safe while they are here. We exceed all regulatory and safety standards and we are inspected and certified by the NY State Dept. of Health. We have certified lifeguards on duty on our waterfront whenever your children are down there. We also have security personnel on duty every night. We also have certified medical personnel on campus at all times (including a nurse and an EMT).
6. WHO WORKS AT LAMOKA BAPTIST CAMP?
Our staff are selected based upon references, experience, and qualifications and their names are submitted for a NY STATE background check before the summer. All of our staff participate in an intensive pre-camp training. Most of our staff come from local churches in the area.
7. HOW DOES MY CAMPER BUY THINGS?
When a camper arrives at camp they will deposit their money into a cloud-based bank account. Campers will be able to buy things anywhere on campus by using their Camper Card. Money spent will be automatically deducted from their account. This system keeps your child’s money safe. At the end of the week, any money left in the account (as long as it exceeds 75 cents) will be refunded.
We suggest that each camper comes with at least $20 in spending money for the week. Campers will be able to buy candy, soda, and snacks from the Hunger Haven; shirts, gifts, etc from our Gift Shop; and crafts from the Craft Barn.
8. WHAT ACTIVITIES DOES LAMOKA OFFER?
We have water activities like swimming, tubing, canoeing, paddle boats, water skiing, fishing, and sailing. We have sports activities like soccer, volleyball, basketball, archery, paintball, climbing wall, archery tag, nerf tag, a low ropes course. And we have other fun activities like mud tug-of-war, a super water slide, hiking trails, crafts, a playground, hay rides, zip line, fun camp games, bon-fires, and much more!
9. WHAT IF MY CAMPER HAS AN OBLIGATION DURING THE CAMP WEEK?
It is our goal to make your child’s stay at Lamoka Baptist Camp the highlight of their summer. We strive to create a community in which all campers are actively involved 100% of the time, which is difficult when campers leave for sporting events or other engagements. Please try to make arrangements within your schedule so your child can remain at camp for the entire week. If they need to leave, they can check out when they leave and then check back in when they return.
10. WHEN IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE?
Registrations will be accepted until each camp week is filled. However, you are encouraged to register early. Campers who register before May 1st will receive a FREE 2019 t-shirt in 2020.
11. WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER BRING?
They should bring clothes, bedding, a flashlight, a camera (optional), a sweatshirt or jacket, a Bible, a notebook and pen, sneakers, flip flops (if they have a pair), a swimsuit (one piece and modest), a towel, spending money, and toiletries.
12. WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER NOT BRING?
Please leave the following at home: cell phones, audio and video devices, knives, matches, lighters, alcohol, expensive jewelry, computers, and tablets.
13. WHEN IS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT?
Registration starts at 9:00 am on Monday morning and your child will be ready for pick-up around 9:00am on Saturday morning.
14. CAN MY CHILD CALL HOME & CAN I CALL MY CHILD?
A benefit of attending camp is gaining independence and confidence. Homesickness is an occasional camp problem, one that we deal with regularly and successfully. It can be made more difficult when campers call home or when parents call camp to speak with their child. Please call only in an emergency!
15. HOW CAN I CORRESPOND WITH MY CAMPER DURING THE WEEK?
Mail from camp is taken to the post office daily. If your child would like to write home, please include some stamps, and envelopes or postcards. Please feel free to mail letters or packages to your child while at camp. Mail that is received after the camper has gone home will be returned to the sender. Please plan ahead and send mail early in the week to be assured postal delivery.

16. WHO IS THE CAMP DIRECTOR OF LAMOKA BAPTIST CAMP?
The current camp director at Lamoka Baptist Camp is Greg Howard. Greg Howard has served at Lamoka in different capacities for over 20 years. He has a bachelors degree in Communications and Bible from Summit University, a Masters degree in English and Rhetoric from SUNY Binghamton, and an Master’s of Divinity from Baptist Bible Seminary.
17. CAN I VISIT MY CHILD WHILE THEY ARE AT CAMP LAMOKA?
Yes! We love visitors. You may visit your camper at any time. We do have a few rules and guidelines concerning visitors, please click HERE to learn more.
18. WHAT IF MY CAMPER LEAVES SOMETHING BEHIND?
Any lost-and-found items will be collected and will be around for parents to look through. It is your responsibility to see that all of your camper’s items are collected before you leave the campus. Camp staff will not locate lost items and they will not be mailed to you after you leave the campus. If you have lost something expensive, please contact our office and we may make an exception.
