Staff Application

We have the following summer positions available. Note: the following selections will be taken into consideration, but the Board and Administrator will place you according to the needs of the camp. You may also be asked to fill several different positions throughout the course of a summer. Also, we are looking for individuals who can commit to work the entire summer (8 weeks - 6 weeks for counselors). If you have extenuating circumstances that keep you from working one week, please contact the office after you apply. You must be at least 14 years old to apply and to work at Lamoka Baptist Camp. The number next to each position indicate how old you have to be in order to serve in that position.

Foodservice Staff (14), Concessions Staff (14), Gift Shop Staff (14), Craft Barn Staff (14), Program Staff (14), Boat Dock Staff (16), Maintenance Staff (17), Office Assistant (14), Nurse Assistant (16).

PAID POSITIONS
Counselor (17), , Starter's Day Camp Counselor (16), Lifeguard (16), Concessions Coordinator (17), Assistant Cook (18), Program Coordinator (18), Waterfront Coordinator (21), Foodservice Coordinator (18), Nurse (21), Maintenance Coordinator (21), Office Administrator (18)

In order to be considered for a position at Lamoka Baptist Camp you must have a number of references. If you have never worked at Lamoka before you need to get 3 references (one of these must come from your current pastor). If you have worked at Lamoka before you will only need to get 2 reference (one of these must come from your current pastor of like-faith). Your references can fill out submit a reference for you using our ONLINE REFERENCE FORM or you/they can print off our PRINTABLE REFERENCE FORM and send it to us at PO Box 70 Tyrone NY 14887.

*Please upload a current (within the last year) picture of yourself or send one to us at PO Box 70 Tyrone NY 14887. PLEASE, if at all possible, make sure this picture is nice and taken in a well lit room with a light background (white, yellow, etc). We may use it for your photo ID staff badge if you are hired.

In case of emergency, I understand that every effort will be made to contact my emergency contacts. In the event that one cannot be reached, I herby give permission to the physician selected by the camp Administrator and Nurse to hospitalize and secure proper treatment, including, but not limited to, injection, anesthesia, or surgery deemed necessary by the physician. I commit to working at Lamoka Baptist Camp during the upcoming summer. I recognize that I am required to attend Staff Training Week and that I am to faithfully serve at Lamoka during every week I am scheduled to work. I take this responsibility seriously and will, by God's grace, give it all my energy. In addition, I have read the STAFF COVENANT and I will, to the best of my ability, uphold the principles, guidelines, and rules contained within it. I understand that if I violate the covenant my actions can, and may, result in my dismissal. I understand that though I may have been hired to do a specific job at Lamoka, my position may change or be cut based upon the needs of the camp? If I have never worked at camp before I will get three references (one from my current pastor) and send them into Camp Lamoka before June 1st. If I have worked at Lamoka before I will secure two references (one from my current pastor) and get them to Camp Lamoka by June 1st. If I am hired I consent to a routine and mandatory background check.

I can in good conscience sign the Lamoka APPEARANCE CODE.
